Note: The following are general requirements to apply for being an au pair. Please contact us for more specific requirement of each target country.

Au pair candidates are adventurous, curious, and interested in learning about new countries and cultures. They are mature, independent and positive individuals. Most importantly, they love children and enjoy spending time with them.

Au pairs who are accepted into the AuPairBeijing program need to meet all of the requirements below:
Have previous childcare experience;
Be between the ages of 18 and 27;
Be a secondary school graduate (high school) or equivalent;
Have no criminal record;
Be in good health;
Be able to commit to a 12-month position.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Read this website thoroughly and complete the application form clearly. (Please contact us for the application form)
2. After receiving the application form together with all the required information, AuPairBeijing will proceed with the application immediately.
3. As soon as AuPairBeijing finds a suitable family, a copy of their family application form is forwarded to the au-pair.
4. Once the au-pair is informed, and agrees to the placement, a telephone call between the two participants is possible. AuPairBeijing can help with arranging the date and the time of this call.
5. AuPairBeijing confirms the placement to the au-pair in writing prior to their departure from China.
6. When the date of the au pair’s arrival is agreed, the au pair is asked to make his/her travel arrangements and inform AuPairBeijing. Travel details will subsequently be forwarded to their host family.
7. AuPairBeijing or our partner agency will get in touch with the au-pair after their arrival at the host family’s residence to make sure everything is okay.

You will also have a personal interview with AuPairBeijing in English.
